To use the Galaxy SmartTag2, you need a Samsung Galaxy smartphone or tablet running Android 11.0 or later with 3GB or more of free RAM. You must opt-in to the SmartThings Find App and be logged in to your Samsung Account. The Bluetooth range is up to 120m without obstacles. If the SmartTag2 is out of range, the Find Network will be used for tracking.

The device is water-resistant up to 1M (3 feet) of water for up to 30 minutes, consistent with an IP67 rating. It is recommended to rinse residue and dry it after exposure to water. Through the SmartThings app, you can set 2 pre-conditions at a time, which can be IoT devices or SmartThings routines.
